Inquiry into insurance companies and the flood

The Queensland Flood Royal Commission is inquiring into the performance of insurance companies following the Queensland floods. 

This is an important inquiry which may lead to changes within the industry.   

They are very keen to hear from flood victims who had experiences with their insurance company.  In particular:-  

  • the timeliness of the processing of claims
  • whether you were kept adequately informed of the progress of your claim
  • whether you were discouraged from making a claim
  • whether your claim was properly considered and properly responded to
