Electricity Upgrade

Energex are about to commence works to upgrade the Moggill and Bellbowrie electricity network.
The work involves upgrading both underground and overhead sections of the network by:
- installing additional electrical safety and communications equipment;
- replacing a small section of powerline that extends from Moggill Substation, corner of Moggill and Grandview Road, with underground cable;
- replacing sections of the overhead network along Sugars, Hawkesbury, Lather and Kangaroo Gully Roads, Bellbowrie with new powerline.
Energex have advised that some inconveniences may be experienced during this work, such as:
- Power interruptions – ENERGEX will endeavor to provide affected properties with at least three days notice;
- Changed traffic conditions such as partial lane and foothpath closures;
- Heavy vehicle movement;
- Noise disruption (generally works will be carried out from 7 AM to 6 PM weekdays, however some work may occur outside these times).
All work is expected to be completed by late December 2011.
