Moggill road bus stop “temporary”

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Local residents have expressed concern that the left hand turn lane from Moggill Road into Kilkivan Avenue at Kenmore was being used as a bus stop.

This was producing problems for traffic that was seeking to turn left out of Moggill Road at the same time as buses (which have right of way when pulling out) were leaving the bus stop.

I took this matter up on behalf of residents and received a response.  It is claimed  when the park and ride facility on Moggill Road near Margaret Court is completed, this bus stop will be moved to the locality of the park and ride and so the present problems would be “temporary”.

Let’s hope temporary doesn’t prove to be as long as it took to do the Moggill Road roadworks.
