Landscaping of Moggill Road noise barriers cut due to budget overrun
Tuesday, 29 September 2009 09:44
Many local residents have contacted me concerned that the promised landscaping along the noise barriers on the newly constructed section of Moggill Road had not proceeded.
I raised this issue with the Minister for Main Roads.Clearly if these barriers remain without appropriate landscaping they will remain unsightly to local residents who were promised that there would be landscaping. We are also likely to see overgrowth of weeds and as we have already seen, the noise barriers become a blank canvas to graffiti vandals.

He claims it has been cut out of the budget due to cost overruns.
Clearly it is unacceptable that this much needed landscaping has been cut out.
The Minister also informs me that excess land in Manyung street is likely to be sold by public tender.
