Upgrade for Moggill Rd/Witton Rd/ intersection
I am delighted that after a 6 year battle of urging the Government to do something about this notoriously dangerous stretch of local road they have finally agreed to fund an upgrade of this intersection.
Work is expected to commence on March 22nd this year and includes
· Installation of dedicated right-hand turn lane
· NO Right Turn in/out of service road near Quentin St from Moggill Rd
· Closing of one lane of the Moggill Road outbound approach
· New asphalt on Moggill Rd between Witton Rd and Ootana St
· Guardrail installation and traffic signal modifications
Given that some 50,000 cars per day travel on Moggill Rd through Chapel Hill it is important to note that the current configuration of this intersection gives rise to grave concerns for motorist safety.
