Inaction on lights driving us crazy

The Government’s continued inaction on the installation of lights and a safe pedestrian crossing at the corner of Moggill Road and Birkin Road Bellbowrie is truly irritating and concerning to myself and local residents
We have had the long running argument in relation to a safe crossing at this point.
We have seen numerous accidents at the intersection. After initially resisting calls for a crossing the Government finally conceded it was necessary and conducted community consultation 6 months ago.
My question to the Government is what on earth are you waiting for?
There is not just clear community support for this measure but in the indisputable need to make this part of Bellbowrie safer for the many children and others that cross to the bus stop in this area.
I have written to the Department of Main Roads urging them to get on with the job.
