Work to commence on Birkin Road

At last we are to see some positive action in relation to the intersection of Birkin Road and Moggill Road at Bellbowrie. 

I am informed that the installation of lights at Birkin Road will commence in August 2010 and be completed by Dec 2010. (which I must admit does seem a very long time)

 Local residents and stakeholders should receive flyers and information in their letterboxes by the end of this month about the nature of the roadworks. 

The project is expected to cost $2.5 million! We have been petitioning the government for many years for this much needed safety improvement. 

 This is a win for the local community
